At ALTERNATIVES Consulting Psychologists we use a variety of counselling approaches adapted to meet your specific needs or circumstances.  In our sessions we help you to see things from another perspective, identify limiting thoughts and behaviours, and assist you to replace these with thoughts and behaviours which will help you achieve your goals.

We use a range of evidenced-based treatment approaches including Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness strategies, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

We can assist you to overcome depression, anxiety, or stress-related symptoms.

We provide opportunities for you to practise new strategies in a supportive environment, and give homework tasks for you to practise your new skills in everyday situations. We have found over many years that these treatment approaches are successful in helping clients achieve their desired outcomes.
