Judi Pears - Business and LIfe Coach

Judi Pears has a Masters Degree in Organisational Psychology.  Having worked in management roles, Judi has first-hand knowledge of the kinds of difficulties associated with managing people.  Judi owns and operates ALTERNATIVES Consulting Psychologists, a consultancy business that provides coaching for leaders, managers, and supervisors across a range of industries.


As an Organisational Psychologist, Judi’s expertise is in achieving behavioural change that improves performance, workplace relationships, and well-being.  Judi utilises her understanding of organisational and individual behaviour to provide interventions specific to the client's work environment.

Approach to Coaching

As an Organisational Psychologist, Judi Pears’ expertise is in achieving positive behavioural change. Judi’s coaching style is outcome-focused. She focuses on strengths, develops strategies for improving specific skills/capabilities, and overcomes blocks to achieving desired goals. She challenges clients to extend their capabilities and provides practice for embedding new skills.

Judi Pears’ experience supports her coaching style. She challenges and motivates, uses reflective practices, questions rather than advises, addresses difficulties, and provides accountability. Over several years she has observed these practices to be effective in assisting clients to achieve their goals.

Experience in Business Coaching

Judi Pears’ coaching experience includes facilitating behavioural change with Executive and Senior managers, as well as middle-managers, supervisors, and team leaders. She brings to her coaching extensive experience in a range of organisational interventions, including mediation, conflict management, group facilitation, consultancy work, rehabilitation, and team development.

Accredited Supervisor for Post-Graduate Psychology students

Judi Pears works with Griffith University to provide supervision to assist Post-Graduate students to gain their Registration as a Psychologist.  She works with students in the Griffith University Post-Graduate Organisational Psychology programs to develop their professional competencies for Registration.
